Chris Hemsworth commented that he felt he had created a parody of himself in his most recent appearance as Thor.

The Australian actor was first cast as the Marvel superhero at the age of 25. Fifteen years later, Hemsworth is now in 29 films, nine of them in the Marvel franchise.

But in a new interview with Vanity Fair, the star suggested he was disappointed by his most recent incarnation of the character in the 2022 film ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

There are four films in total in the ‘Thor’ franchise. The 2011 debut film ‘Thor’ was followed by three sequels: 2013‘s “Thor: Dark World”, 2017’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and 2022’s “Thor: Love and Thunder”. The hammer-wielding Norse god also appears in the ‘Avengers’ films.

The interviewer quotes ‘Avengers’ co-star Robert Downey Jr. as saying Hemsworth’s work in the previous films ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was ‘a formidable hat-trick’.

Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to in terms of new content.

What’s the problem? The stories all take place at different points in time in the galaxy far, far away. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set between the original trilogy and the latest sequels. ‘Andor’ is a prequel to ‘Rogue One’, itself a prequel to ‘A New Hope’. Meanwhile, ‘Ahsoka’ takes place after the original trilogy. And the newly released Disney+ series ‘The Acolyte’ takes place hundreds of years before the Skywalker saga.

Don’t worry, padawans: CNN put together a complete chronology of Star Wars canon so you can follow all the franchise’s time jumps without getting lost in space.

This information was pulled from official ‘Star Wars’ resources known as ‘Ultimate Star Wars’ and ‘Star Wars Character Encyclopedia,’ as well as experts from media outlets such as USA Today and AV Club. Anthology series such as ‘Star Wars Visions’ and ‘Tales of the Empire’ were omitted.

Many Star Wars fans mark the passage of time in the galaxy with the Battle of Yavin, the fateful battle in ‘A New Hope’ in which the first version of the Death Star is destroyed. “The Phantom Menace takes place more than 30 years before this battle. But for ‘Star Wars’ fans who are still sorting out the differences between the Republic, the Rebellion and the Resistance, let’s measure the chronology in Earth time.

Morgan Spurlock, the filmmaker and CNN anchor whose McDonald’s documentary ‘Super Size Me’ was nominated for an Academy Award, died Thursday of complications from cancer, his family said.

Spurlock, who was 53, died in New York, surrounded by family and friends, his brother said in a statement.

‘It was a sad day as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan,’ Craig Spurlock said. “Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas and generosity. The world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am very proud to have worked alongside him.”

Spurlock’s career as a director was varied and unpredictable. He was best known for Super Size Me, which sparked a national conversation (and not without controversy) about America’s relationship with fast food. The film involved his experiment in which he consumed only McDonald’s food for 30 days and was required to ‘upsize’ his food order if requested in the sales transaction.

‘Fire in space?’, the strangest criticism of The Acolyte’s debut and it completely misses the point of Star Wars.
Star Wars audiences are in an uproar because Star Wars: The Acolyte shows a ship on fire in space, but that reaction ignores the very nature of the galaxy far, far away. The Acolyte was released with a two-episode premiere on 4 June and has already received plenty of reviews and praise as the newest of the Star Wars films and TV shows. However, not all the criticisms are constructive, nor do they all take into account the long history of Star Wars playing fast and loose with the laws of physics.

In the first episode of The Acolyte, Osha, the Rebel Padawan of The Acolyte, is working on a ship when it catches fire. Viewers have since taken to social media to point out that this is not physically possible; fire, which requires oxygen, cannot happen in space.

However, these answers overlook George Lucas’ intention for Star Wars and the countless examples of Star Wars choosing to ignore real-life physics.

Actor Giancarlo Esposito recreates one of his most famous scenes from the film Do the Right Thing 35 years later.
Giancarlo Esposito recreates a scene from Do the Right Thing years later. A 1989 Spike Lee film, Do The Right Thing featured a prominent cast that included Lee himself, Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Martin Lawrence, Rosie Perez, Ruby Dee, John Turturro, Bill Dunn and Richard Edson, among others. One of those cast members was Breaking Bad’s Esposito, who played Mookie’s eccentric friend Buggin’ Out.

In an Instagram video from lethalshooter, Esposito recreates an iconic scene from Buggin’ Out. In the video, Esposito sees his white Air Jordan shoes run over by a bicycle, which in this case is slowly walking down the pavement. The actor repeats several of the actual lines from Do the Right Thing, including phrases like ‘what are you doing on my block, in my neighbourhood, on my side of the street?’

Esposito does a great job capturing the essence of his signature Buggin’ Out character. Certain details from the original film are changed, including the doubling of the price of Air Jordans from $100 to $200. The remade scene also omits the gentrification lines from Do the Right Thing, as the original scene, unlike the new video, features a white man in a Larry Bird t-shirt running over shoes.
